Phase 1 of the Bethlehem Area Public Library "Room to Grow" Project is currently under construction. The Library received a matching Keystone Fund Grant from the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries. Soyka-Smith Design Studios of Upper Montclair, NJ is working with our Design Team to provide and install the office furniture systems. Work is expected to be completed in early May 2011.
 
The new City of Bethlehem Emergency Medical Services facility will be released for bidding in February. The 12,000 SF building will contain garage space for 10 emergency vehicles and central office facilities for the EMS staff. Construction is expected to begin in April and be completed this summer.
 
Congratulations to the St. Thomas More Parish in Allentown, Pa. Architecture FURST PC has completed the construction phase of a new classroom addition that opened on-time for the fall semester. The 2 story, 11,000 sq. ft addition contained 11 classrooms and support space and links the existing school and Primary Learning Center.
 
Bid documents have been released for the Rose Tree Media School District in Media, Delaware County, Pa to renovate the Penncrest High School stadium. Work includes bleacher replacement, new press box, handicap accessibility compliance and general alterations to the existing High School stadium. Work is expected to be completed in August 2011.
 
Architecture FURST PC completed the restoration and painting of the exterior security windows at the Lehigh County Prison in Allentown, Pa. The 9 story facility constructed in 1990 had 350 individual windows rehabilitated. Prison administration and staff remain hard at work in achieving similar results for the inhabitants.
