Project Description:
Salisbury Township Middle School was constructed in 1971 and was in dire need of an HVAC upgrade. Architecture FURST teamed with D’Huy Engineering and formatted a phased plan to replace the entire HVAC system within the building. This work would also encompass interior architectural modifications and major structural modifications for the roof top equipment. Additionally, all work would need to be done while the middle school remained in session.
The unusual plan of approach designated the HVAC contractor as the Lead coordination contractor, as they were responsible for the bulk of the work. Our team approach and familiarity with the contractors, allowed the project to be scheduled, completed and uneventful right to the end. In fact, due to the outstanding work of the contractors, the project was finished one year ahead of schedule to the delight of the District and certainly the faculty and students. |
