Project Description:
The Easton Area High School placed a much needed high school expansion in the hands of team members D’Huy Engineering and Architecture FURST PC. Faced with explosive growth at the secondary level, the district needed classrooms quickly but was not in favor of adding portable trailers. Architecture FURST prepared the design plans for a 20 room addition with support spaces and were ready to publicly bid the project with all approvals in hand in only 5 months.

The addition was added to the west end of the building and created an enclosed courtyard that was designed to remain accessible for maintenance purposes. The 2 story, 32,000 S.F. addition was constructed with no disruption to the educational program. It contained 16 general classrooms and 4 science laboratories along with student toilets, faculty planning rooms and mechanical space.
